Our laboratory applies biophysical and biochemical techniques, with emphasis on structural techniques, as X-ray Crystallography and Electron Microscopy, to address mechanistic hypotheses on gene regulation by transcription factors of the p53 protein family.
In research supported by a NSF CAREER Award, we are also carrying structural studies on the mechanism of bacterial mercury transport by MerT.
